Samgyeopsal

Sambyeopsal is thick pork belly slices. Similar to bacon meat but this is cooked without any marination. It's usually eaten with hot or miso paste sauce wrapped with other vegetables and rice in either cabbage or sesame seed leaves.

Jokbal

Another favorite Korean snack/meal - Jokbal.
Basically these are pig feet boiled in soy sauce broth for long time and then served thinly sliced. You eat'em with baby shrimps to digest better. These feet are filled with collagen and gelatin promoting healthy skin.

Ddukbokki and Soondae

For my first blog post, I introduce to you two famous snacks/meals in Korean.

Ddukbokki is rice cake boiled in hot paste with fish cakes and other vegetables and is commonly sold in food carts everywhere.

Another famous one is called Soondae. It is basically pig small intestine filled with pig blood, rice and vermicilli noodles and steamed. It may look and sound yucky but it's very tasty and tastes like a typical sausage. The white stuff you see on the pictures are pig lungs and livers they throw in there when you order soondae. I personally don't like those as they are not that great tasting and had some distinct smell.

Anyway thanks for looking at my very first blog post.
